PDO Threads

PDO Threads are made from absorbable polydoxanone.  This material is similar to the sutures used in cardiac surgery.  The PDO threads are implanted in the skin to effectively lift and tighten sagging skin by inducing collagen production.

How long do PDO threads last?

The PDO threads remain in the skin for 4-6 months, at which point the threads dissolve naturally.  The effects of the threads become more pronounced over time as collagen and elastin are stimulated.  The skin will stay in its lifted position for another 12 months due to this tissue stimulation.

Is the PDO thread procedure painful?

Both topical and subcutaneous anesthetic medication will be used during the procedure.  The majority of patients tolerate the procedure with very mild discomfort.  Do not hesitate to discuss the procedure in detail with your provider.

What areas of the body can be treated with PDO Threads?

The most common areas for treatment include the face and neck.  Threads can be placed in cheeks, jawline, marionettes, lips, neck, and eyebrows.  Other areas of the body that can receive treatment include stomach, flanks, arms, knees, and buttocks.

How long does the procedure take?

Expect to be in the office 60-90 minutes for a PDO thread lift procedure.  There are limited restrictions after treatment and post care instructions will be reviewed by your provider.

I’ve had acne for a long time and have tried facials, creams and peels with little success. Forever Clear BBL has not only managed to get my acne under control, but my skin has stayed clear

My self-confidence was really low (because of my acne). I tried everything! Nothing worked. I am so glad I got the Forever Clear BBL treatment: it made my skin look perfect and I feel fantastic! I would recommend it to my friends, because it works!
