Treatment FAQs

What is a chemical peel?

During a chemical peel, chemicals applied to your face cause the outer layer of your skin to slough off and reveal fresh skin. Different types of peels are available, and the doctors at Ageless Anatomy can help determine which one is best for you.

A superficial peel, also called a “lunchtime peel,” uses a mild acid and has minimal downtime. Medium and deep peels are much more intense and require longer recovery periods. The deeper peels are more effective at reducing discoloration, lines, scars, and age spots.
