BOTOX & DYSPORT

Neuromodulators (Botox and Dysport) are prescribed medications that are injected to temporarily relax muscles responsible for the development of moderate to severe lines and wrinkles. Aside from diminishing wrinkles, Botox and Dysport can also be beneficial for treating certain medical conditions such as excessive sweating, teeth grinding, and headaches. There are several neuromodulators on the market and your provider will choose the best one for your individual needs.

Botox FAQs

Botox and Dysport temporarily reduce muscle activity to prevent lines in the skin made by the movement of those underlying muscles.

Neuromodulators are injected to temporarily relax muscles responsible for lines and wrinkles. They can also treat medical conditions like sweating, teeth grinding, and headaches.

Both medications are Botulinum Toxin A, but produced by different manufacturers. The mechanism of action for each product is the same with a slight variation in dosage. The overall cost associated with Botox and Dysport treatment is very similar.

Results appear within 2-10 days of treatment and last 3-4 months.

Treatment is customized to your goals and needs. When you meet with your specialist, he or she will determine the appropriate treatment for any areas you wish to address, and estimate the number of injections based on the intended outcome.

DERMAL FILLERS

With time and aging, an increase in lines and wrinkles as well as loss of volume in the face occurs. Dermal fillers are prescription medications in the form of a gel-like substance that restore volume loss, smooth lines, soften creases, or enhance contours when injected. Some dermal fillers are even designed to stimulate collagen and restore the collagen that is lost with age. There are many dermal fillers on the market and your provider will choose the best one for your individual needs.

Dermal Fillers FAQs

As you get older, you’ll notice more fine lines and wrinkles on your face, along with less fullness in your cheeks and lips. Dermal fillers are a type of gel that’s injected under the skin to restore lost volume, smooth lines, soften creases, and enhance facial contours.

With so many dermal filler products on the market, it can be difficult to know which option is best for you. Each product is uniquely formulated to have a certain texture, density, and injection depth. Contact our team of experts to learn what product(s) are best for you based on your areas of concern.

Results last 6 months to 2 years, or longer. Personal results depend on a combination of your skin biology, the dermal filler product selected, and the treatment technique used during your service.

There will be a noticeable improvement right away. However, there may be swelling in the treatment area for a couple of days. The recovery time after receiving dermal fillers is short because the procedure is minimally invasive.

Dermal fillers smooth out lines around the nose and mouth (marionette lines, smiles lines, and parentheses), enhance and restore volume to sunken cheeks or temples, diminish vertical lip lines, plump and enhance the lips, smooth out chin crease, and improve symmetry among facial features.

PDO THREADS

PDO Threads are crafted from absorbable polydioxanone. This material is similar to the sutures utilized in cardiac surgery. The PDO threads are inserted into the skin to lift and firm sagging skin by stimulating collagen creation.

PDO Threads FAQs

The PDO threads remain in the skin for 4-6 months, at which point the threads dissolve naturally. The effects of the threads become more pronounced over time as collagen and elastin are stimulated. The skin will stay in its lifted position for another 12 months due to this tissue stimulation.

The most common areas for treatment include the face and neck. Threads can be placed in cheeks, jawline, marionettes, lips, neck, and eyebrows. Other areas of the body that can receive treatment include the stomach, flanks, arms, knees, and buttocks.

Both topical and subcutaneous anesthetic medication will be used during the procedure. The majority of patients tolerate the procedure with very mild discomfort. Do not hesitate to discuss the procedure in detail with your provider.

Expect to be in the office for 60-90 minutes for a PDO thread lift procedure. There are limited restrictions after treatment and post-care instructions will be reviewed by your provider.

PRP PLASMA FACIAL

If you’re looking to reduce facial lines and wrinkles without undergoing surgery, consider trying a PRP plasma facial. This treatment involves using a concentrated sample of plasma and platelets derived from your own blood. The natural, full-of-growth factors injection, is added in the targeted areas of the face. This helps supercharge skin rejuvenation, tighten problematic areas, and diminish lines and wrinkles.

PRP Plasma Facial FAQs

Some patients may experience temporary soreness, stiffness, and occasional bruising at the injection site due to the local inflammation the treatment induces.
